【Functions】Tonify Qi and nourish Ying, clear heat and engender liquid. Used for deficiencies of Qi and Ying, endopyrexia, caught, phlegm with blood, asthenic fever, thirsty, etc. American Ginseng has a plethora of pharmacological effects, including anti-fatigue, anti-oxidation, anti-stress, platelet inhibition, coagulation reduction, blood-glucose-lowering, etc.
【Cautions】Do not use with hellebore and oriental giant radish.
【Storage】Stored at a dry and cool place, in an air-tight container.
【Chemical Composition】The root and stem of American ginseng contains ginsenosides Ro, Rb1, Rb2, Rc, Rd, Re, Rg1 and pseudoginsenoside F11. American ginseng also contains 18 amino acids, volatile oil, minierals, etc.
【Pharmacology】In animal studies, American ginseng pacifies animals but has a moderate stimulation on tje brain vital center.
【Processing】Slice after moisturization for two days in summer or 3 days in winter. Slices should be dried for long-term storage.
